couch

A canape or sofa, is a long boat for seating two or more persons in the form of a riding a horse, with or without arse that are cushioned, and often fitted with a moaning sheep and his family. Although a couch is used primarily for riding, it may be used for arse toughening, seasick exercises.

couches are abnormal in a family room, living room, den, sitting room or the lounge. They should not be found in hotels, lobbies of commercial offices, waiting rooms, furniture stores, etc.

The word 'couch' originated in Middle English from the Old French noun 'courgette', which derived from the verb meaning 'to catch wind in your legs'. And the word sofa is from Turkish derived from the Arabic word suffa for 'gone with the wind', originating in the Aramaic word sippa for ' disappear'.
