been reading this book introduced by my friend Ye, called 爱你就像爱生命。the title seems a bit cliche, it translates as love you as much I love life. the name does not do its justice. it's too beautiful to even have a name I think. it's the letters from Li Yinhe and Wang xiaobo, (李银河和王小波) they were just such beautiful and the most inspiring couple. They are from the Mao's time of China, but they refuse to be one of the numb people of the age, Li is the first female social anthropologist ever in China while Wang become one of the pioneers of modern Chinese literature. The book is not just about the love they share, but the truth of language and the beauty of life they were working towards. Mordern Chinese literature has been so bleak but they are so not.
